Choosing how to receive your Medicare benefits
There are two choices when it comes to receiving your coverage.
Medicare Advantage
Original Medicare
This is the federally funded program that provides Medicare Part A and Part B coverage for individuals age 65 or older, and for younger people with certain disabilities.

Medicare Advantage
These are plans offered by private companies that contract with Medicare. They provide the same Part A and Part B coverage as Original Medicare. Many plans also include additional benefits like prescription drug coverage, vision care, dental care and hearing exams.

These additional products can be used with Original Medicare to reduce your out-of-pocket costs.
Medicare Supplement
Medicare Supplement
Medicare Supplement (also known as Medigap) is insurance that helps to pay some of the costs that Original Medicare doesn’t cover. This will reduce out-of-pocket costs with Original Medicare.
